A citizen showed an act of courage today when he witnessed someone breaking and stealing from a car parked in Oranjestad.
Before 8:00 am, a good samaritan noticed a man breaking the back window of a car parked in Zoutmanstraat. He approached the addicted bum, scolded him for his actions, and held him at the site while waiting for the police to arrive. The car owner who works in the area also showed up to assess the damage done to his car.
The arrestee was taken to the police station in Oranjestad.
