Diana Richardson is living in a hard situation. Her grandson, Kevin Banfield (22) is giving her a hard time, despite asking him several times not to show up at her house anymore.
In an interview with Mrs. Richardson, she explained that she does not know what else to do. “I want my life back, my peace.”
Her grandson has mental problems and is an addict. He uses her house to do his stuff, and no matter how many times she chases him away, he keeps coming back. It’s sad; according to the grandmother, she feels threatened because her grandson has a knife. This one time, the grandmother reported him to the police, and when she reached back home, her grandson was waiting for her with a machete. “I felt threatened,” she said.
She does not understand why the authorities can not do anything, even though there are reports against him. She has even asked for a restraining order once. She had peace for six months. But after that, the problems started again. She asked the parents to pick up everything belonging to Kevin from her house in Cantaloupestraat.
Diana Richardson says that it is not acceptable that she has to sleep at her sibling’s while she has her own house. Thus, she is asking the authorities to please do something, because this situation has been going on for a year now. She has tried everything with any results.
