Taekwondo trainer Henk Meijer in Aruba

Tuesday afternoon Henk Meijer arrived in Aruba. He is well known in the sports world. He is one time World Champion of Taekwondo, and he was also the national coach of the Netherlands, France, and Greece. A trainer with enough experience.

Meijer has known the brothers Klaber for a long time. Usually, in December, they would visit him for some training sessions and compete in some Dutch Taekwondo competitions. “Unfortunately, because of the coronavirus, all competitions have been canceled. But I wanted to train with the brothers, so I came to them instead.”

We will be focusing on the Pan American Games, for which he will be guiding Joshua Klaber since he won a spot for this competition in Colombia. He will be staying two weeks in Aruba but hopes that Joshua Klaber will participate in some European matches next year. His main goal is to get the best out of this young athlete.

Joshua Klaber has been part of Brazil Taekwondo Stichting ever since he started this sport.

The young athlete said that he has been preparing for a while now for the Pan American Games that will be held next year in Colombia. It will be a big challenge for him because this will be his first time participating in such a big event.
