Larry King: renowned television and radio host dies at 87

Larry King, radio and television presenter, known in homes in the US and worldwide for his show on CNN, died Saturday. He was 87 years old. 

“With profound sadness, Ora Media announces the death of our co-founder, host, and friend Larry King, who passed away this morning at age 87 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles,” Kings official Twitter account announced. The cause of death was not mentioned, but his death came a few weeks after announcing that he was battling against the coronavirus.

“For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television and digital media, Larry’s many thousands of interviews, awards, and global acclaim stand as a testament to his unique and lasting talent as a broadcaster.”

From 1985 to 2010, he presented every night on CNN, which program received many awards. His guests were celebrities, but he also had political debates. 

King realized around 50 thousand interviews on the air.
