Customers angry at Peking Bar Restaurant

Police had to intermediate a situation that took place at a bar/restaurant in Santa Cruz. It turns out that there was a disagreement concerning the charges and that there was a risk of it escalating into a fight.

This occurred Wednesday night at around 11:00 pm. The police, who happened to be in the area, arrived at the scene quickly and entered the bar to get a better idea of what the situation was about. Seeing as how there were still people inside while it was past the bar’s closing time, the remaining customers were asked to leave the building.

The main issue was between two clients and the bar’s manager. According to unofficial sources, the two clients were eating and drinking at the bar. However, when they went to pay, the customers noticed that they were overcharged and that the bill did not match what they had actually consumed. At this point, a discussion broke out between the bar’s manager and the two customers that escalated to the point that the customers decided to call the police.

Finally, the clients did not have to pay the large amount they were originally charged and instead, they only paid for what they, according to their own calculations, actually consumed. The customers made it known that they were very disappointed by the whole situation and that they would never be setting foot into New Pecking ever again.
