Mr. J.S. de Vries has been appointed as the new Head Prosecutor for Aruba. The Council of Ministers approved this nomination by the Minister of Justice, mr. Andin Bikker. Saskia de Vries, 63, comes from the Public Prosecutors Office in the Netherlands.
She worked as a prosecutor since 1995 and worked at different Public Prosecutor’s Offices in the Netherlands. She also worked in Curacao. She has a lot of experience leading large investigations of organized criminality, fraud, and corruption.
At the moment, Saskia de Vries is working as an advisor at the Public Prosecutors Office in Sarajevo, Bosnia, and Herzegovina.
She will use her knowledge and experience these coming three years to the benefit of the Public Prosecutors Office in Aruba.
