First Aruban copilot landed a Boeing 777 in Aruba

Hubert Jansen is an Aruban copilot who lives in Netherlands. He was born in Rotterdam in 1978 but emigrated with his family to Aruba at a very young age. His father, Hubert, is very proud of his son. What’s even more remarkable is that it’s the first time that Jansen landed KLM’s Boeing 777 in Aruba.

He has landed in different countries around the world, but this is his first time in Aruba. He overnighted and then flew back to the Netherlands. It was a very special day for both the son and father.

The father said that since Hubert was little, he wanted to become a pilot. After finishing his HAVO, he continued his studies in the Netherlands.

He has been working for KLM for the past 16 years. He wants to encourage every young people who want to become a pilot to do their best at school. Good behavior and dedication are very important. Hubert is 43 and has been flying for KLM since his 27th.
