ATA recognized 3 employees who stood out in 2020

The team of Aruba Tourism Authority consists of a large group of professionals who work hard to fulfill the commitment that each one of us has to our island. The time and dedication that the job requires could be demanding. Still, the passion that the team in Aruba, the US, Colombia, and the Netherlands displays is the commitment to work for our country and our economic pillar, our tourism.

Aruba Tourism Authority appreciates and recognizes the effort and determination that each employee has towards their job. Therefore, A.T.A. started an annual recognition program called Hi-Fives/Standing Ovation. The program is bound to the values A.T.A finds important. The winners are chosen annually during a special gathering with the team. Because of Covid-19 and the protocols that are in place, the celebration was adjusted.

On Friday, March 5th, all team members were surprised with breakfast. The celebration was initiated via Zoom, where the CEO, Ronella Croes, had praise for the entire Tourism Bureau.

Then the winners were announced. The outright winner was Sjeidy Dijkhoff-Feliciano, who received the most positive feedback, compliment, and recognition from her colleagues.

She was surprised by her husband with flowers at her office and received a placard from the A.T.A’s CEO, Ronella Croes.

Jonathan Boekhoudt is the second person to receive a lot of feedback from her colleagues and also received his recognition. It was his off day, but he was surprised at home by his colleagues. He was picked up and taken to A.T.A. to join in on the celebration.

The third person to be recognized was Josette Croes. She received a lot of recognition from her colleagues for her effort and dedication in 2020.

A.T.A. wants to congratulate and thank especially the three outstanding employees of 2020!
