Aruba Marriott celebrates Earth Hour with night hike

by Nicole

Aruba Marriott has participated in the global Earth Hour event for several years, a campaign in which lights are turned off for one hour to promote environmental awareness. This year, the hotel marked the occasion with a night hike for associates and their families.

Nataly Cardona Lara, Human Resources Supervisor at Aruba Marriott, explained that Earth Hour is a worldwide initiative that encourages people to switch off their lights for one hour to support the environment. The event is held annually on the last Saturday of March from 8:30 to 9:30 pm.

For the night hike, Aruba Marriott invited associates and their families to join. Sixty participants took part, walking through natural surroundings in the evening while learning about the importance of environmental stewardship.

The hike began at Telearuba, passed the Pos Chikito bridge, continued to the old mine, and returned to the starting point. Aruba Marriott hosts this activity every year, with this edition highlighting a nighttime walking experience.
