Jean Marc Luis Antersijn, a young athlete and football coach, returned to Aruba on Tuesday afternoon after hosting a three-day football clinic in Toronto, Canada. Antersijn is the founder and owner of JM Academy International, which has seen remarkable success in just nine months of operation.
A former professional soccer player and member of the Curaçao national team, Antersijn has now turned his focus to developing young talent through his own football academy.
He expressed his excitement at the strong turnout in Toronto, where many children participated in the clinic. The opportunity to host the event arose after several tourists took part in his training sessions in Aruba and were impressed by his unique coaching style. These visitors encouraged him to bring his approach to Canada and work with young local players there.

The clinic was so well received that Antersijn has already been invited to return in July for another session — an achievement he described as “incredible.” Interest has also grown among several Canadian teams, including players from the national squad, who are now looking to travel to Aruba to train under his guidance. They praised his coaching philosophy and approach to youth development.
Antersijn says he feels proud of what the academy has accomplished in such a short time, noting that they are already organizing international clinics, connecting local talent with opportunities in the Netherlands, and supporting players seeking development abroad.
