Author and literary specialist Julien Ignacio will present three of his books at the National Library of Aruba. The books, titled ‘Goudjakhals’, ‘Kus’, and ‘Dat wij zongen’, will be showcased during a presentation on Monday, November 25th at 5:00 pm. The event is open to the public.

Julien Ignacio (1969) is a prolific writer and publisher, with works including short stories, articles, novels, and theater scripts. He studied literature and has worked as a teacher and editor in the Netherlands.

‘Goudjakhals’ is a collection of stories about migrants who leave behind their voices. Each story explores a personal quest for freedom, highlighting the struggles of individuals trying to establish themselves in foreign countries. The stories take readers to different countries, situations, and characters across time.

‘Kus’ is a novel that focuses on a father who reconnects with his son after a tragic fall leaves the child in a coma.

‘Dat wij zongen’ is an anthology featuring stories from twenty contemporary Caribbean authors. These stories reflect on earlier Caribbean authors who have inspired and influenced them. Ignacio’s latest publication was created in collaboration with Raoul de Jongh and Michiel van Kempen.
