The Barracuda Warrior exercise has kicked off in Curaçao, bringing together various military units from the Dutch Caribbean region to enhance their skills. More than 150 military personnel are taking part, including the Aruba Marine Squadron, Sint Maarten Marine Detachment, Curacao and Aruba Boat Platoon, and Curaçao’s military forces. This exercise will continue until February 7th, 2025.
The exercise includes a range of activities such as shooting drills, operations in mud and on land, and training in constructed environments. Military personnel also participate in surprise attack simulations, which help them become better prepared for various situations and improve teamwork.
Through exercises like Barracuda Warrior, the military is ensuring its readiness to carry out tasks throughout the Caribbean region. Additionally, personnel are learning new techniques and honing their ability to operate under challenging circumstances. Through intensive training, the military remains prepared to defend the Kingdom, contributing to peace and security in the Caribbean.
