Aruba proudly welcomed Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line, who arrived on Sunday morning aboard the Carnival Vista. Duffy, a highly respected leader in the global cruise industry, visited the island as part of her tour through the Southern Caribbean.
Upon her arrival at the Oranjestad Cruise Terminal, she was warmly received by Ronella Croes, CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority, and Marc Figaroa, CEO of the Aruba Ports Authority. Both executives extended Aruba’s signature hospitality and expressed appreciation for the long-standing partnership between Carnival Cruise Line and Aruba.
Duffy thanked the Aruban delegation for the warm welcome and shared her excitement about spending the day on the island. She emphasized Carnival Cruise Line’s continued commitment to Aruba, a key destination in the company’s Caribbean operations.
Carnival plays a major role in Aruba’s cruise tourism sector and is expected to be responsible for 25% of all cruise visits to the island in 2025. The Carnival Horizon will make the most visits next year, with 26 scheduled calls and approximately 103,000 passengers. The Carnival Vista will visit 13 times in 2025, bringing around 51,000 passengers.
Looking ahead to 2026, Carnival Cruise Line is expected to maintain a strong presence, accounting for about 23% of all cruise passengers arriving in Aruba. As of June 30th, Aruba had already welcomed 514,580 cruise passengers this year. The total number of visitors is projected to reach 910,174 by the end of 2025.
Aruba remains committed to strengthening its relationships with key partners in the cruise industry and to offering outstanding experiences to its visitors, while continuing to promote sustainable tourism development.
