As Valentine’s Day draws near, the much-loved project “Cupcake di Speransa” (Cupcakes of Hope) celebrates its 10th anniversary with another heartwarming initiative.
Launched in 2016 on Main Street with just 200 cupcakes, this project has grown significantly over the years.
- In 2016, proceeds supported Baby Luna.
- In 2017, funds went to Mrs. Koolman.
- In 2018, two children’s foundations were beneficiaries.
- In 2019, the focus was on Ethan.
- In 2020, Ethan and Guinni received support.
- In 2021, the recipient was Shady.
- In 2022, the project helped Janelle.
- In 2023, it was dedicated to Aljereau.
- In 2024, funds supported the Rasmijn family and Baby Jeremiah.
For 2025, the initiative will support 15-year-old Richeline, a special young girl with autism facing unexplained health challenges.
Richeline’s health has declined recently, with symptoms including skin discoloration, frequent fainting, and constant weakness. Once a lively, energetic child, she now sleeps excessively and sometimes requires a wheelchair due to lack of strength in her legs. Despite numerous medical evaluations, doctors are still searching for answers, and her mother is determined to take her abroad for further testing and a second opinion.
How you can help
Support Richeline by ordering cupcakes from Cupcake di Speransa 2025. A minimum order of one dozen (12 cupcakes) costs 60 florins, with no limit on the quantity you can purchase. Businesses can gift them to employees and clients, and families can share them as a sweet treat.
Cupcakes will be available for pick-up or delivery on February 13 and 14, with delivery options to homes or workplaces.
