On Tuesday evening at approximately 8:45 pm, police received a report of a car submerged in the ocean behind MooMba Beach. Upon arrival, officers discovered a red car nearly fully underwater.
The driver, a man, was found at the scene and appeared disoriented. Given his condition, the police decided to arrest him and transported him to the station for further evaluation. Meanwhile, the car continued to sink deeper into the water.
It remains unclear what led the driver to drive into the ocean, but it’s safe to say his car wasn’t built for a swim. A tow truck was called to remove the vehicle from the water.
