The Dutch Caribbean took part in the World Pride celebrations in Amsterdam this past weekend, joining thousands of participants for the city’s iconic Canal Parade with a boat carrying the theme “One Kingdom, One Love.”
The colorful boat was organized by the 3Layers Foundation for Equality, led by Aruban Angelo Tromp. Its purpose was to raise awareness about the rights of the LGBTQ+ community throughout the Kingdom of the Netherlands, with a special focus on the countries and islands in the Caribbean.
Representing the Government of Aruba, Sidney Kock, Public Relations Officer for the Cabinet of Aruba, participated in the parade on behalf of the Cabinet.
