On Friday, a medical emergency occurred shortly after 11 am at Eagle Beach, when an elderly man became unwell while swimming. Witnesses initially feared the worst upon noticing the man drifting motionless in the water.
Prompt action by beachgoers brought him safely to shore, where immediate first aid was administered while awaiting the arrival of emergency services. Among those assisting was a nurse, whose expertise was instrumental in stabilizing the man’s condition.
Paramedics arrived swiftly and continued resuscitation efforts for approximately 18 minutes before successfully restoring his pulse. He was then transported to the hospital for further evaluation and care.
Thanks to the rapid and coordinated response of bystanders and first responders, the man’s life was ultimately saved.
