Aruba has secured its first medal at the ASU 2025 Pan American Games, thanks to the impressive performance of 18-year-old athlete Kaj Rozeboom. He won silver in the Olympic Windsurf iQFoil event, marking an important milestone for the island.
On the third day of competition in the men’s division, favorable winds allowed three races to take place. Kaj delivered a strong performance, battling closely with his American rival throughout. The head-to-head created an exciting series of races, and after a total of five, Kaj claimed silver for Aruba, finishing just four points behind first place.
Rozeboom said he was proud to bring home a medal for Aruba, especially at such a young age. Still, he admitted he is not fully satisfied and plans to keep training hard to grow as a sailing athlete and achieve even greater results in the future.

The Aruban Olympic Committee (COA) praised his remarkable accomplishment, celebrating both his personal achievement and the fact that Aruba now stands on the ASU 2025 podium.
