Aruban motorcyclist left paralyzed after crash during competition

Aruban athlete Miljenka Franken has been left paralyzed after a serious motorcycle accident during a competition in the United States. Over the weekend, 24ora.com reported on the devastating incident, which occurred during the start of a race when a maneuver caused her motorcycle to flip, resulting in severe injuries.

The accident happened on April 25th in Maryland. Following the crash, Miljenka was urgently flown to Washington, D.C. for emergency surgery on her lower back and spine. Despite the medical team’s efforts, she has been left paralyzed from the waist down.

Miljenka, 45, is known for her active lifestyle. She is a mother and married. Her injuries have dramatically changed her life, and the journey ahead will be challenging.
