The yacht Energy, with registration number A-30, went out fishing with four Aruban fishermen and has not returned. The families are deeply concerned and are asking the public for help.
The missing men are Davey Croes, Marcelo Heyden, Jarred Croes, and Aischell Tromp.
They left early Saturday morning around 6:30 and were expected back by 4:00 pm that afternoon. As of Monday morning, they still have not returned. All four are experienced fishermen and often go out to sea together.
The boat is normally docked at Surfside Marina, at the pier near Pincho’s Restaurant. It’s unclear what may have happened, as no calls for help or signs of trouble were received.
Other boats currently out at sea are being asked to assist in the search. Authorities have also launched a coordinated effort in the area where the group is known to fish.
