The “ARC Gloria” will dock in Aruba on Sunday, August 3rd, giving the local community three days to visit the vessel, according to Gustavo Serrano Amaya, Colombia’s consul general on the island. During a recent press conference, Amaya explained that the ship has traveled around the world, visiting various locations and promoting Colombian culture and presence internationally.
The ship is expected to arrive at 8 am and will remain in port until August 6th. During this time, a range of activities will be held on board, including workshops and talks. On the morning of August 3rd at 8 am, a formal ceremony will take place, attended by His Excellency, the Governor of Aruba, the Prime Minister, other ministers and parliamentarians, members of the consular corps, and various dignitaries. Dr. Carolina Olarte, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, will also be present; she is scheduled to arrive the following Saturday.
“We invite the entire Aruba community and Colombian residents to attend the ceremony, as access to the port will be granted that day,” Amaya said. “I would also like to thank Ports Aruba authorities for their support and the arrangements made to welcome the ship to the island.”
The “ARC Gloria” will depart at noon on Sunday, August 6th, heading to its next destination. Everyone is encouraged to come and see this impressive vessel. Upon arrival, visitors will receive instructions on how to board.
