Cas di Cultura (CDC) has officially announced the temporary relocation of its auditorium to the Ballroom at Paseo Herencia Mall in Palm Beach. This strategic move follows the recent and unexpected closure of CDC’s main auditorium due to structural issues. The closure accelerated plans that were already in place for renovations and relocation.
A formal agreement has been signed between Stichting Schouwburg Aruba (Cas di Cultura) and Paseo Herencia, represented by General Manager Valerie Pietersz-Camacho. The agreement confirms that CDC will operate from the Paseo Herencia Ballroom for approximately two years, while safety upgrades and renovations are carried out at its original site.
Although the auditorium will temporarily move to a new location, CDC’s foyer, café, offices, and exhibition hall will remain open and fully operational at its original premises. These spaces will continue to serve the community with exhibitions, classes, and administrative services.
The transition ensures that all large-scale performances, productions, and events can continue without interruption. Now hosted at the Paseo Herencia Ballroom, CDC will maintain its programming and cultural presence while focusing on long-term safety and sustainability.

“We are grateful for the partnership with Paseo Herencia and their support in making this transition possible,” said the CDC team. “Our commitment to the development of arts and culture in Aruba remains strong, and we look forward to welcoming the public to this beautiful venue while we renovate our island’s main cultural platform—our Cas di Cultura.”
