Michael Gerard Hector has passed away from injuries he sustained after being hit by a car on Sunday, June 8th, 2025. The accident happened around 12:20 pm near Today Supermarket in Cura Cabay.
The vehicle involved was a silver Kia Sonet, which was traveling southbound when it struck the pedestrian.
Emergency services, including police units from San Nicolas and traffic investigators, along with an ambulance, were dispatched immediately to the scene. Hector was found in critical condition and was rushed to the hospital.
After several days of intensive medical care, he sadly passed away early this morning. His death was confirmed by medical staff. Hector was born on December 3rd, 1972, in Aruba and lived in San Nicolas.
The case remains under investigation by the Traffic Department. The Aruba Police Force and the Headlines Group extend their heartfelt condolences to Hector’s family.
