Chill Beer, alongside Elite Empire Entertainment, proudly join forces once again to produce one of Aruba and the region’s most popular festivals. It’s the Flip Flop Festival, set to take place on Saturday, June 1st, 2024, at the Bushiri Beach Arena. Since the last Flip Flop Festival in 2018, this longing has remained among fans. This ninth edition features two different areas, showcasing various bands as well as local and international DJs. Producers conducted several music preference surveys, resulting in a blend of Soca and Reggae artists, among other genres.
Among the headlining acts is one of the most popular figures in the Soca and Dancehall genres, KES. KES and The Band hail from Trinidad and are well-known on the island. Just last week, they released a new album titled ‘Man with No Door,’ featuring hits with Shaggy, Busy Signal, and others. They’ve been extremely busy in recent months with performances in Miami, Orlando, New York, and more. Some of their hits include: ‘Hello,’ ‘Savannah Grass,’ ‘Work Out,’ and ‘Like it like that.’
From the Netherlands comes the renowned DJ Latu, along with Steve Andreas. Both bring a never-before-seen spectacle for attendees of the 2024 Flip Flop Festival. However, the list of attractions doesn’t end here, as organizers promise to announce more international artists soon.
There will also be a special performance by Ziggy Recado & The Nayamari Band. The reggae band enjoys great popularity in the Caribbean and Europe. They will perform their own repertoire and others.
Local talent naturally also has its deserved place at the festival, and as such, we can enjoy performances by Tsunami, Mystical Connection, Nutzbeatz, Dj Sky, Dr. Eli, Yeimy, MC Samil, and Tarrick Ras. There will be two additional areas besides the main stage, called the ‘Caribang Stage,’ where there will be surprises both locally and internationally.
