Taking matters into their own hands in Noord

The police rushed to Kamay near NG Supermarket to tend to an unusual situation. Here, it seems a man asked nearby residents to call the police for him after he was attacked on the side of the road. This all stems from an incident that occurred two days ago. Homeowners insist that they saw this man, last name F, breaking into their home. The son of the homeowner arrived first on a scooter, saw the man, and then returned in his car later on.

He threatened the alleged suspect for entering their house. After the threat, he left and returned by car wielding a stick as a weapon. He chased and hit the suspect with the stick, as well as throwing rocks at him, injuring his right hand.

A passerby called the police and while they were on their way, the man F. stayed waiting with his dog on the side of the road. The homeowner also showed up. He says he, and all the other neighbors, are tired of his suspicious activities in the area at night. According to the homeowner, he sneaks around at night and steals bottles of alcohol. Quite a heated argument ensued.

When the suspect argues that there is no proof of his supposed crimes, the homeowner retorted by saying that there are three witnesses. Right before the police arrived, the homeowner got into his car and left the scene.

The police spoke with the man F, and he told them everything. The police advised him to file an official complaint at the station. Now it is up to the authorities to deal with these threats and aggression.
