U.S. Consulate General Curacao and Islandpreneur Open Applications for Women’s Economic Empowerment Conference

From June 27-29 at the Simpson Bay Beach Resort in Sint Maarten, women entrepreneurs from the Dutch Caribbean and the United States will come together for a transformative conference called Islandpreneur POWER Fest. At the heart of this initiative is recognizing women entrepreneurs’ pivotal role in driving economic innovation and sustainable growth. This summit is underpinned by the U.S. State Department’s POWER program (Providing Opportunities for Women’s Economic Rise), which, since its inception in 2019, has been instrumental in leveraging diplomatic and private sector resources to enhance women’s access to vital skills and networks.

Attendees can expect to gain implementable strategies to expand their business in other markets throughout the region, including the Dutch Caribbean and the USA.  Under the theme “Global Access Granted,” experts from the region will offer concrete strategies for women entrepreneurs to gain access to finance, technology, networks, markets, and the digital economy to accelerate their growth.

A core component of the conference is facilitating business matching, bolstering foreign trade, and opening up new market opportunities. As a result, this is an application-only conference with no registration fee. Approximately 40 participants will be selected to attend. Applications are open now through May 31. Selected participants will be notified the first week of June if they have been selected.
