Expired Products found: Cmart Closed for Two Hours

On Tuesday morning, information was received that several expired products were found on the shelves of Cmart. This occurred during a routine inspection at the supermarket in Cumana, in collaboration with DEZHI and KPA.

This was concerning, as the sale of expired products can pose a significant risk to the health of consumers. We contacted the Food Inspection and Hygiene Service of the Department of Public Health, who confirmed the news. Demonstrating a commitment to the safety and well-being of its customers, Cmart took the initiative to temporarily close its doors for a period of two hours.

During this time, the supermarket team dedicated themselves to thoroughly inspecting every product on the shelves to make sure that it complies with all food safety and health standards.

After two hours, the supermarket reopened its doors and resumed serving the people of Aruba.
