Man arrested at the airport for smuggling drugs into Aruba

The man in question, Roderick Windster, lost his freedom late Thursday afternoon after arriving on the TUI flight from the Netherlands. These days, there are strict control at the airport and everyone arriving, including those from the United States, undergoes a thorough inspection. Customs officers are in the arrival hall with detection dogs to inspect all luggage.

Many people from the United States have been caught with small amounts of drugs. It seems that those individuals could proceed without any repurcussions. Roderick Windster, however, was not so lucky. The amount of drugs he had in his possession was around 5 kilos of marijuana, and was clearly intended for sale. The marijuana was found packaged in five different parcels, ready to hit the market.

He appears to be a person who frequently visits the Palm Beach area. His name came up when he arrived with his fresh merchandise for sale from the Netherlands. An excellent job by the Customs Agents, who once again succeeded in a drug bust.

Investigators from the Narcotics Team arrived at the airport and took over the custody of the suspect from Customs. They requested police transport, which took the suspect to the Shaba detention center where the Narcotics Team conducts their work.
