On Sunday night at around 8:45 PM, an accident with considerable material damage occurred on the main road of Camacuri. This time, it involved a black Kia Rio and a red Nissan Tiida. In this accident, two people were injured, one more seriously than the other, for which two ambulances were rushed to the scene.
The police closed off both sides of the road to freely handle the accident. Not only were the district police of Oranjestad present at the scene, but also the traffic police, who are responsible for documenting the accident. The damage was extensive, with the Tiida damaged at the rear and the Rio at the front. All this indicates that the Rio came at full speed and hit the rear of the Tiida, causing the collision.
The victims were transported to the hospital to receive advanced medical attention. The police forensic team also arrived at the scene to take photos to aid in documenting the incident.
