Large lifeless turtle found drifting at Eagle Beach

The Coast Guard issues a warning to all boat users in the vicinity of Eagle Beach. Be aware that this is one of the areas where turtles come ashore. Over the weekend, a large lifeless turtle was found drifting at Eagle Beach.

The Coast Guard reported that they noticed an extremely large turtle (dead) drifting in the water in the Eagle Beach area. The Coast Guard observed the turtle and noted that it was possibly hit by a boat.

Based on its size, it is estimated that the turtle weighs approximately 200 kilograms. This message serves to warn all boats in the vicinity to be cautious in order to avoid hitting these majestic animals. A turtle of this size could also easily cause damage to a boat, so proceed with caution.
