They are fed up: Arubus drivers walk out and arrive at the Government Office

On Wednesday morning, the drivers of the public transportation entity, Arubus, once again held a walkout, and this time they went to the Government Office.

According to the drivers, since they were not being heard by either the management or the minister in charge of Transportation, Minister Ursell Arends, they decided to go to the government headquarters instead.

At the Government Office, the presence of SEPPA Secretary General Magaly Brito, as well as Arubus shop steward Roque Tromp, were noted.

The drivers are striking because they demand a better salary structure and are tired of hearing that “there is no money.” This has led to the second walkout in less than a week.

Due to the strike, public transportation is at a standstill until the drivers resume their work. The walkout is scheduled from 6:30 am to 10:30 am, so a total of 4 hours.

The drivers will remain at the Government Office until they hand over their letter to Minister Ursell Arends.
