Two Trophies for Aruba in the BMX World Championship

Taron Simon was abroad to participate in the BMX World Championship, and a group of friends, family, and teammates was at the airport to welcome him home.

David Simon, coach of the Speedworx BMX Team, indicated that Taron Simon is only eight years old and represented Aruba for the first time in the World Cup in Rock Hill, USA. Taron Simon finished fifth in the world. Simon has worked hard this past year, training extensively. The coach thanked everyone who helped Taron and for providing him with such a warm welcome back home.

This was Taron’s first competition at the World Cup level. However, he already has experience, having started riding bikes since he was four years old. Gradually, he participated in try-outs in the USA, Costa Rica, and Colombia. This year, he already won a cup in Colombia and placed third in South America.

Bryan Elisabeth from Crash Test Dummies also participated in the BMX World Cup. He competed in the 45-49 Cruiser Class category. He reached the finals among 83 riders. Elisabeth finished seventh in the new category he entered.

He achieved excellent classifications, securing good positions. Due to his strong performance, he reached the final. Even though he was tired, he still made his best effort and finished seventh in the world category.
