Last week, a group of Arubans traveled to Bogota, Colombia, to attend a ‘Women’s Empowerment’ event organized by VIP Medical Travel Companion Aruba. The event consisted of a week full of activities to remind women that they can be their best selves and to emphasize the power of women.
The week was filled with social and medical activities as it combined leisure time with medical aspects. VIP Medical Travel Companion Aruba has become known for taking Arubans to Colombia for medical check-ups, surgeries, and more in recent years. Recently, they started offering vacation packages, with the first event dedicated exclusively to women.
Dianne Gomez-Koolman is the owner of VIP Medical Travel Companion Aruba, and during an interview with 24ora.com at the retreat in Bogota, she shared more about her idea and the week’s activities. The retreat itself is located about three hours away from Bogota, Colombia. It is surrounded by nature, ensuring complete privacy and peace of mind.
The idea is to empower all women in a unique and different way. It combines vacation time with a program dedicated to women. It was a week focused on health, including diet and physical activity. There were doctors present who traveled to the retreat to conduct check-ups on the clients, as well as laboratory services and therapy.
Various activities, including hiking, Zumba, and more were organized completely in nature. Of course, the educational aspect was also part of the event. Different medical professionals gave talks on the importance of health. On Mother’s Day, there was even a surprise mariachi band performance.
When designing the program, relaxation was also essential. The idea is for the clients to return to Aruba as completely different people with a new mindset.
