Three AVB members form a part of the FIFA Congress in Bangkok

President of the Aruban Football Federation (AVB) Randolf LaclĂ©, Secretary General Dyane Wiersma, and board member Raymbert Bikker are currently in Bangkok, Thailand, fulfilling AVB’s duty to attend the 74th FIFA Congress.

The board finds it important to clarify that this trip is fully funded by FIFA so that all member countries can attend, and thus our delegates can fulfill their duty to represent Aruba on the international football stage. This means there is no additional cost for AVB itself. A total of 211 countries are present to attend this congress.

The congress’s invitation naturally had its agenda, and most importantly, there was a vote for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 to determine which country will host it.

During the visit to Thailand, there was a football match where Secretary General Dyane Wiersma and board member Raymbert Bikker were selected to play with the CONCACAF team and compete against legends such as Luis Figo, Wesley Sneijder, Tiago Mendez, Samuel Eto’o, Javier Zanetti, and many others who were present.

During the congress, our AVB representatives met with FIFA to discuss interesting topics that we can certainly announce in the future.
