An accident occurred early Wednesday morning at the Cumana roundabout, involving a scooter and a taxi.
All indications suggest that the scooter driver was already on the roundabout when the taxi, a white Honda Odyssey, possibly rushing to reach its destination, collided with the scooter.
The driver of the scooter fell to the floor due to the impact, which at first glance did not seem so severe. Ambulance personnel arrived at the scene to provide first aid.
After a routine checkup, however, they decided to transport the scooter driver to the hospital for more advanced medical treatment.
