This year marks the fourth year that Cas di Cultura celebrates the Pride on Stage project, within the framework of Pride Month.
Lotte van der Heuvel, Head of Programming and Education at Cas di Cultura, indicated that this year they have an international Pride Show, featuring eight individuals from New York, The Love Show. They are a cabaret dance group and part of a band: Sunshyne & The Foxx. It is completely related to disco, rainbow, pride and she exclaimed that they are “very, very, very excited.”
The event will take place on June 8th and tickets are already on sale for 40 florins and are available at Cas di Cultura, Superfood Plaza, Plaza Bookshop. But you can also buy tickets via Pay.aw. On Saturday, the doors will open at 7:00 p.m.
But wait, there’s more! Cas di Cultura will also be hosting the Queer ‘n’ Cozy night on Friday June 7th. On this day, they will collaborate with different partners, such as Orguyo and Famia Planea. HIAS will host a workshop on Gender-Based Violence and there will be a spoken word lecture by Basha as well. This night will end with a Drag Music Bingo event. This event is completely free. It will be informative and educational, but also serve as event to spend a pleasant time, as the name itself suggests: “Queer and Cozy.” Those who wish to register can also do so online.
Swift Distribution Aruba will also be part of this event, along with Cas di Cultura. Mitch Almary, Marketing Manager of Swift Distribution Aruba, indicated that they believe in inclusion and are a great support for the community. That is why when they were approached, they agreed to participate right away.
During the event, they will have a selection of wines, especially the Alberto Nani, a very popular prosecco in the community and will be the main wine of Pride On Stage.
On this day, there will also be an Alberto Nani photobooth to create beautiful memories with all your friends. It is also important to mention that it will not just be the main show in the Cas di Cultura hall. Both before and after the show, there will be a DJ in the foyer and a fully-stocked bar where you can get your prosecco (by the bottle).
