On Thursday night at around 8:30 pm, police arrived at Palm Beach where tourists were robbed. It involves a family of four, who had only been on our island for a few days to enjoy our beach, when the incident occurred.
Unfortunately, the group from Colombia likely felt like they were in their own country in that moment because they regretted leaving their belongings unattended. It is unfortunate, as this does not happen often in Aruba, but now a family on vacation fell victim to it.
Authorities discovered that the tourist’s bag and phone had been stolen. Police and hotel staff gathered all the information to start the necessary investigation. More police were deployed in the area to help search for the culprit(s).
Hopefully the police will catch the thief in the coming hours.
