MEP submits request to postpone meeting on same-sex marriage law

As is known, the Parliament of Aruba is scheduled to address the same-sex marriage law on June 18 at 9:00 am. However, in a letter dated June 15, Parliamentarian Arthur Vallejo, a member of the MEP faction, submitted a request to the President of Parliament, Edgard Vrolijk, to postpone this meeting.

The reason is that he will be abroad due to health reasons related to his child on the 18th, which prevents him from being present at this important meeting. The President of Parliament agreed to this request, and the meeting will now take place on June 19 at 2:00 pm.

The Court of Cassation will make a decision regarding this law on July 12th, just before the court goes into recess.
