June is the month where events are organized to raise awareness about the rights of those who are part of the LGBTQ+ community. To conclude the season, there is the Aruba Pride Event which will take place this Saturday at The Venue.
This event, which is taking place for the fourth time, is organized by Edison Garcia of Aruba Gay Guide. On this night, there will be various shows such as Drag Queen performances, GoGo Dancer presentations, and music by the group Tsunami. Throughout the night, there will also be performances by different DJs, including DJ Vibe and DJ Nico Verploeg.
According to Garcia, these types of parties are important to bring the community together. Especially because there are very few events like this in Aruba to celebrate diversity together.
