MetaCorp with a generous donation to sports

MetaCorp, as one of the oldest companies in Aruba, sees the importance of giving back to the community when needed. Eddie de Veer, CEO of MetaCorp, started by stating that for many years now, in one way or another, MetaCorp has been cooperating with the special-needs community of Aruba. This year, once again, they contributed to a request that reached MetaCorp. The special-needs community plays a significant role in the pillars of community contribution.

Beyond Sport Limit Foundation Aruba made a request for three special chairs for those participating in races. These chairs enable individuals with special needs to enjoy and participate in races of 5 km, 10 km, or 15 km. This allows them to take part in sporting events in Aruba. Now, MetaCorp has added three more chairs, bringing the total to five. Five volunteers will push these chairs, allowing five clients to participate in MetaFit.

MetaCorp supports Beyond Sport Limit Foundation Aruba in its goals, while also asking the Aruban community to support them during the upcoming MetaFit Event on June 30th.

About MetaCorp

MetaCorp was founded in 1920 and started in the cinema business. With the opening of Lago, E. De Veer Transport began, which is now known as ATCO, later expanding into APEX and Ecotech. After two World Wars, the company purchased the Coca-Cola plant, leading to the start of Tropical Bottling, which also expanded into ‘Brouwerij Nacional Balashi’. The company continued to develop with the opening of New York Laundry and EcoGas.

MetaCorp is the oldest commercial company in Aruba with over 100 years of continuous existence. With a strong foundation and a corporate culture based on principles of sustainable investments and belief in employees, MetaCorp is now ready for the next 100 years of progress, with talent like Eddie de Veer, Guus Slabbekoorn, and Shensly Tromp leading the company.
