Aruba selection has returned from Puerto Rico victorious in baseball

The Aruba U16 selection has returned from Puerto Rico, where they participated in the Caribbean Series championship. They had to play seven games and emerged victorious in the final. With this result, the Aruba selection will represent the Caribbean region in the championship in South Carolina, USA.

Joanne Bruin, representative of the NAS Senior League team, explained that they returned from Puerto Rico, where they played in the Caribbean Little League Championship. Seven teams participated in this championship.

The players had to share bathrooms and bedrooms and there was no air conditioning, so it required a lot of adaptation. According to Bruin, the kids knew how to maintain their positive energy, which made all the difference.

With this result, Aruba is the Caribbean champion of 2024. They are very excited, and the games were tough and thrilling. They competed against countries like Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, both of which are difficult competitors. It wasn’t easy to compete against these countries on the field, but also as a small country, they had to fight for their place.

Now, they are going to focus on preparing for the next competition. At the end of July, the team is traveling to South Carolina, USA. Here they will represent the Caribbean region.

Revelino Maduro, manager of the Aruba U16 selection, indicated that they returned tired and that the days were intense. The preparation was short, but thanks to all the support they received, they were able to train and prepare. The positive mentality of the kids was essential for their success.

The experience in Puerto Rico was new for them. It was something they were not accustomed to, but they made sure to explain it to the kids. Now they will represent the Caribbean from July 27 to August 3.

The warm welcome at the airport was a surprise, although they were hoping for it.
