International regatta attracted more than eighty-five participants

Rik van der Vaart, president of the Aruba Regatta Foundation, shared details about the 14th International Aruba Regatta, which was a resounding success. On the day of the competition, which took place on Saturday, more than 85 competitors participated in the competition, including those interested in competing with their miniature boats.

This event not only attracted local participants but also international visitors, highlighting the attendance of coaches and competitors from CuraƧao, who collaborate annually with the organization, ensuring the successful development of the activities.

The main goal of the Regatta is to promote nature, sport, and respect, with a special focus on the younger generation. Van der Vaart highlighted the growth of the event and the attraction of international participants, emphasizing the participation of a young American, which reflects the importance of this event in the international sports arena.

Organizing such a grand competition requires perseverance and constant support from sponsors and volunteers, essential elements for the success of the event. Collaboration with SIWA (sailing school) allows teens to learn to handle sailboats, providing them the opportunity to showcase their skills in the Regatta.

Finally, Van der Vaart expressed gratitude to the sponsors, volunteers, and participants, hoping to continue the success and fun on the sea in future editions of the Regatta.
