Beryl brought large waves to Baby Beach

The day dawned, and everyone was attentive to the possible effects of Hurricane Beryl on Aruba. The first noticeable effect was the change in the calm sea that Aruba is known for.

At Baby Beach, we encountered Robert Statie, who was one of those who took advantage of the large waves visible at this beach to practice bodyboarding.

It was evident from early on that the residents of the area could see the weather change, bringing rough seas that affected the beach itself. The water rose inland, and the palapas were submerged. Those who went to enjoy the beach could not do so because there was no place to sit on the beach.

No warnings were observed at the site to be cautious when using the beach with such rough seas.
