A contractor working for Elmar, who was cutting trees in the hotel area, tragically passed away on Tuesday morning. The contractor must have hit one of the nearby power lines, causing him to be fatally electrocuted. He fell on the road and the authorities were notified. Police arrived and began resuscitation efforts until paramedics arrived and took over.
Police closed the road leading to the area of the incident. Unfortunately, nothing more could be done for the worker, and he passed away at the scene.
Jobs near power lines are very dangerous. Vegetation cutting near high-voltage power lines requires extra attention. Elmar management and the contractor company were immediately informed of the incident. An investigation was also conducted. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family.
