On Monday, just past 11:30 pm, the police responded to an accident on Pitastraat. There, the driver of a Nissan Tiida collided with a dark blue Hyundai Getz parked in front of a house. After the collision, the Nissan Tiida driver attempted to flee, but did not manage to do so.
At the scene, police administered a breathalyzer test and determined that the driver had exceeded the legal alcohol limit. He was immediately taken into custody, as he was not only driving under the influence of alcohol but also did not have a driver’s license, and the car’s paperwork was not in order.
