On Monday night, just after 8:00 pm, the San Nicolas police were notified of a large fire in the bushes right behind the school Colegio Nigel Matthew.
This fire posed a threat to the school, so firefighters were dispatched to combat the flames as quickly as possible. It took a while for the firefighters to get the fire under control and prevent it from spreading further, but in the end, they managed it.
It is not known who set the fire, but it has been noted that several fires have been set intentionally around our island in the past few months.
