Warning for rough seas on Aruba’s north coast

The effects of Hurricane Beryl can also be seen at Boca Mahos. Tourists have gathered there, but they will only be able to witness the bad weather.

The waters in this area are known to be somewhat rough, but what can be seen today has surpassed the usual. Large waves break into the canyons and the sea level is quite high.

Although it’s on the north coast of the island, tourists can normally enjoy the Cave Pool near Bushiribana, where many have arrived but haven’t ventured down due to lack of familiarity with the area.

Please be careful when visiting these areas, as the sea and wind is extra rough. There have been cases in the past in which people sitting or standing on the cliffs were swept away by the force of large and rough waves.
