Command Center in Savaneta will facilitate police work on the streets

Aruba will soon have the best-equipped and most modern ‘Operation Command Center’ in the region. MEP Fraction Parliamentarian, Darlaine Guedez-Erasmus, praises the ‘Operation Command Center’ project, which will be located in Savaneta, in the former police building that is currently being renovated.

This command center will have three centralized functionalities: the ‘central police dispatch’, the ‘radar room’, and the ‘camera surveillance’.

Guedez-Erasmus indicates that Aruba will have the most modern and best-equipped ‘Operation Command Center’ in the region. For example, it will feature software that includes artificial intelligence. This will make solving cases much more efficient and effective. It will also facilitate the tasks of police officers on the streets by providing them with guidance and information.

The software can distinguish things such as vehicle color, license plate number, specific areas, clothing color, among other criteria, according to the parliamentarian. This ‘Operation Command Center’ will achieve more efficient crime fighting.

It’s also important to mention that the international media outlet The Telegraph UK has publicly stated that Aruba is the safest island in the Caribbean, and this did not happen by chance. This is the result of a good vision and strategy to make and keep Aruba safe.

The Aruba Police Force and the Ministry of Justice of Aruba have been doing a tremendous job to achieve this, as Parliamentarian Guedez-Erasmus has declared.
