On Tuesday night, just after 11:00 pm, an accident occurred on a road in Mondanza. This accident involved a pink Honda and a light blue Hyundai Accent.
Failure to yield and driving while intoxicated played a role. Unfortunately, the driver of the pink Honda was injured as a result of the collision.
Traffic police arrived at the scene to tend to the accident. The driver of the Hyundai left the scene initially but later returned. Police wen to confront the man, and quickly noticed that he was under the influence of alcohol.
Police proceeded to detain the driver for a hit & run and driving under the influence. They requested police transport to take him into custody.
An ambulance also arrived at the scene to tend to the driver of the Honda, who initially claimed to be uninjured but later reported feeling discomfort.
