On Thursday morning at around 10 AM, an accident occurred at the intersection of Profesor Lorentzstraat and Weststraat.
Here, the driver of a Ford Edge failed to stop at an intersection. He continued driving, cutting off an MG and colliding in the process. The impact was severe and the MG ended up a considerable distance away. When paramedics arrived, the driver reported pain in her back and neck, and it was decided to transport her to the hospital.
Both cars suffered significant material damage.
